Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment leading New Zealand’s SaaS journey
10 November 2023 – Aotearoa’s Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) has completed transitioning its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) finance business suite to TechnologyOne’s latest generation ERP, CiA, which will help streamline financial operations.
MBIE has gone live with TechnologyOne’s modern SaaS ERP solution, including Financials, Supply Chain Management and Corporate Performance Management. MBIE opted for TechnologyOne’s CiA platform, which removes the need for direct server connectivity so they could fully harness TechnologyOne’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution.
MBIE, a TechnologyOne customer since 2013, is the lead agency of the TechnologyOne Cloud Framework Agreement (CFA) with Digital.govt.nz, the pan-government framework under which eligible agencies can procure SaaS Services and/or Professional Services from TechnologyOne to support digital transformation across the public sector.
TechnologyOne’s latest generation ERP, CiA, sets organisations up for the future by allowing them to work seamlessly, anywhere, anytime, from any device, giving staff the ability to do their day-to-day tasks in one single intuitive interface.
In a recent report, commissioned by TechnologyOne, IBRS surveyed citizens across New Zealand to gain an understanding of how they use local and central government digital services. From a tech and social perspective, the report found that investing in core SaaS solutions, a robust digital adoption strategy, and strong citizen information processes can enhance digital government services for all, especially those most in need of support.
TechnologyOne’s CEO, Ed Chung said: “Our SaaS solution enables both operational resilience and exceptional and flexible digital service delivery, and our customers – like MBIE – have the fundamental components for efficient service delivery; making these even more effective for all citizens, no matter their background or situation is a matter of design, education and clarity.”
“We are so proud to enable and be trusted by more than 230 Federal and State Government department and agencies across New Zealand and Australia.”
